Fellowship Highlights

Experience exposure to policy and practice

APN research Fellows are embedded in all aspects of African institutions, policy think tanks, or in the advocacy of organizations across the Central African countries, East African countries, Southern Africa, and the Western African region. With hands-on experience as a fellow under this program, fellows stand a chance of gaining in-depth exposure to policy development, and they can implement decisions related to peace-building, development, and security.

Bridging Research & Policy:

Fellows under this program work in collaboration with policymakers and practitioners; they carry out research on policy-related issues, and they are involved in advocacy, and this is where they gain practical knowledge on how policies are formed and executed.

Fellows will produce African Scholarship and Knowledge Analysis papers:

Fellows under this program are expected to research and produce a policy review analysis paper, and they will also publish a peer-reviewed article. They will be actively involved in the areas of policy discussions and strategic planning.
